Worlds merged and minds collapsed this weekend when it appeared that ***flawless pop star Beyoncé and fashion’s golden girl, Cara Delevingne were ‘Gramming together from the inside of a recording booth. The remarkably similar Instagrams the two shared within moments of each other on their respective timelines had the interwebs abuzz with speculation over a possible collaboration between the two.

And with good reason: the Instas feature the corresponding hands of Delevingne and Knowles hovering above an identical recording studio soundboard, each of their hands so distinctive, what with Cara Delevingne’s tattoos on display and Bey’s perfectly shellacked nails gleaming for the camera. Without captions, we’re left wondering: Were the two ladies laying down tracks for another surprise hit pop priestess Beyoncé will bestow upon us mere mortals?

And if the two were spitting bars, can Delevingne even keep up with Knowles’ acclaimed vocals? Well, the fashion darling has been known to warble — she just performed a duet with Pharrell in Chanel’s short film, “Reincarnation,” and as we mentioned last week, she’s quickly becoming a muse to hip-hop’s biggest names. No matter her chops, the goofy model would actually make saucy ad-libs for tracks or be the perfect celebrity appearance, a lá Harvey Keitel in “Pretty Hurts” or like every other A-list celebrity featured in Beyoncé and Jay Z’s “On The Run” promo. Only time (and Instagram) will tell.
