BuzzFeed's CEO just tweeted an extremely racist alleged Ivanka Trump quote

So…..yeah….this is a thing BuzzFeed CEO Jonah Peretti tweeted today.

Uh…………………………………………………………………………..

Everyone was, to put it mildly, surprised by this. Even Peretti’s many employees!

There are many questions about this tweet, such as:

Really?

Really?

Was this a hack? (Nope! Peretti told BuzzFeed he did it.)

Does Jonah Peretti, rich person and media impresario, understand that it’s kind of out there to tweet something like this? (Definitely!)

How did the alleged conversation even get there?

Well, after causing a massive coronary throughout his newsroom, Peretti talked to one of his reporters. This is what he said:

Peretti said the encounter with Ivanka occurred at a Manhattan dive bar called Tropical some about 10 years ago with roughly five other people present.

“She was saying how she first said she had never seen an uncircumcised cock and then she said, ‘I’ve never seen a mulatto cock. There’s lots of cocks I’ve never seen,’ or something like that,” Peretti said.

He didn’t tweet it until like three seconds before the third and final presidential debate because it was “personal,” he added.

That still doesn’t explain how Jonah Peretti, Ivanka Trump and a group of companions had come around to discussing the many varieties of penis that exist in the world, but it’s something, I suppose.

Can we picture Ivanka Trump using the phrase “mulatto cock”? Are these words part of Ms. Trump’s vocabulary? According to Jonah Peretti, the answer is definitely yes!

Update: In a statement to Fusion, Ivanka Trump denied the contents of Peretti’s tweet. “I am not sure if this was meant to be a joke, but in case there is any ambiguity, this is a complete and total lie,” she said.
