Just in time for today's release of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water, Forever 21 has enlisted artist Mina Kwon to create a limited-edition, Bikini Bottom-inspired line. Better yet: the results are surprisingly wearable!

When you think about it, SpongeBob has always been a deceptively fashion-forward show. For one thing, we've long admired Sandy's ruffly, retro two-piece and flower-accented helmet. (Did they ever get around to explaining why a Texan squirrel had relocated to the ocean floor?) Patrick doesn't wear tops, Squidward doesn't wear bottoms, and SpongeBob SquarePants is so committed to uniform dressing that his signature look is part of his name.
