Clinton legacy grows: Chelsea Clinton gives birth to son

Here comes the grandma card.

Chelsea Clinton has given birth to her second child, a boy named Aidan Clinton Mezvinsky, she announced on Twitter on Saturday.

This is Clinton’s second child. Her daughter, Charlotte, was born in September 2014.

Clinton, who was famously named after the Joni Mitchell song “Chelsea Morning,” did not share the origin of the name Aidan. The name, which was the 185th most-popular name for boys in the U.S. in 2015, is definitely less common than the name Charlotte, which was the ninth most popular name for girls in 2015. But (coincidentally for Clinton? Will we ever know?) both names were given a boost in popularity in the early aughts with the television show Sex and the City.

Hillary Clinton lags behind her presumptive Republican opponent, Donald Trump, in grandchildren. Trump has eight children, including Ivanka’s son Theodore, who was born in March.
