GOP Congressman Throws a Fit at Female CNN Anchor for Asking Him a Question

Latest

Congressman Dana Rohrabacher (R-CA) went on CNN on Friday morning to blabber loudly in defense of the Trump administration and wound up throwing a childish temper tantrum when presented with actual facts by a competent anchorwoman.

As he complained about Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ decision to recuse himself from involvement with the government’s Russia investigation, Rohrabacher kept insisting that he was being talked over by CNN’s Ana Cabrera at multiple points in the interview.

“Maybe you should give me a chance when you have me on your program to express my opinion, rather than have you refute every point that I make,” he fumed, apparently baffled that someone in the news media might not be cool with him babbling on and on.

“Let the public decide some of these things,” Rohrabacher said, prompting Cabrera to make this face:

Later in the interview, Cabrera asked whether Rohrabacher thought it was OK to lie to the FBI.

“The answer is no, it’s not good to lie to anybody,” Rohrabacher said huffily, adding, “It’s also not good to interrupt people when they’re trying to make a point when you’re a news person.”

Exhibiting what can only be described as superhuman restraint, Cabrera apologized to Rohrabacher, saying she meant “no disrespect.”

“No disrespect my foot!” the congressman responded angrily. “You don’t respect Trump, you don’t respect people who disagree with you politically!”

Rohrabacher’s foot, along with the rest of him, is up for reelection this coming November.
