Here's the Mayor of London rugby tackling a small child in Japan

Latest

Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, is not a small man. Just a little something he should have maybe considered before enthusiastically shoulder-barging a 10-year-old kid during a game of street rugby.

“I felt a little bit of pain but it’s OK,” the student, Toki Sekiguchi, told the Telegraph. It was “enjoyable” meeting the mayor, he said.

The rugby game marked the end of Johnson’s three-day trade visit to Japan, during which he talked about the country hosting the Rugby World Cup in 2019.

Apparently this is not the first time that he’s taken a small child down during a casual game. Last year, he apologized after tripping a nine-year-old kid during a friendly soccer game in London, sending him flying to the ground.

Dear Boris: Maybe just don’t play sports with children anymore?
