Is This Lady Fucking Kidding Me

Latest

As Texas marches toward passing a so-called “bathroom bill” that would restrict trans residents’ access to public facilities, a group of bigots rallied at the Capitol in Austin on Thursday to voice their support for the discriminatory bill.

Laureny McGaughy, a reporter with The Dallas Morning News, tweeted out some photos from the scene.

HOLD UP HOLD UP HOLD UP. Can we zoom in on quadrant 1 please?

Did she just? Yes. Yes, she sure fucking did.

This random lady looking like she dressed to attend the funeral of her own common sense showed up with a sign—and by sign I mean half of a literal toilet seat—with the words “Rosa Parks did not give up her seat for a man…neither will I!!!”

There’s also some drawing below which is either a toilet seat or a brush with no bristles or a snake that won’t be tread on or maybe it’s just a long loopy shit, who knows.

I don’t know how you use the bathroom, but no one has ever asked me to give up my seat on the toilet.

Ma’am. Bless your heart for trying to align yourself with a civil rights icon while simultaneously trying to deny your neighbors their rights. But you do know that the “man” part wasn’t the issue, right? That it wasn’t the person that wanted the seat that Parks took offense to, but the system of segregation that systematically targeted and degraded black people in even the most banal aspects of daily life, like where to sit on a bus, or which bathroom to use…sound familiar…?

Also, I don’t know how you use the bathroom, but no one has ever asked me to give up my seat on the toilet.
