Ivanka Trump appeared on Fox & Friends on Monday morning, where she bemoaned the “viciousness” of Washington, D.C.—a sentiment, she claims, that caught her totally off guard.

“I was a little blindsided by [it], on a personal level” Ivanka claimed, apparently unaware that her father was elected to the White House after:

• Insinuating that Ted Cruz’s father had helped kill J.F.K.
• Suggesting that “Second Amendment people” could, somehow, take care of Hillary Clinton.
• Spending years claiming that President Barack Obama was not a U.S. citizen.
• Bragging about sexually assaulting women because “when you’re a star, they let you do it.”

“But,” Ivanka insisted, “this isn’t supposed to be easy.”
