Kim Kardashian robbed at gunpoint in Paris: Here’s everything we know

Masked attackers robbed Kim Kardashian at gunpoint in Paris on Sunday night, leaving her bound and gagged as they made off with her possessions.

Five men wearing ski masks broke into the apartment where Kardashian was staying after incapacitating the concierge, Reuters reports. Once inside, they bound and gagged her with tape held a gun to her temple, and stole approximately $10 million in jewelry, along with her purse, two cell phones, and 1,000 euros.

“She is badly shaken but physically unharmed,” Kardashian’s rep told People.

Kardashian, best known for her series of E! channel reality shows, left Paris by private jet immediately after giving a statement to authorities, People reports. Kim had been in the French capital for Paris Fashion Week, having attended the Balenciaga show mere hours before she was violently robbed.

The multi-industrial entrepreneur, Kanye West, was performing a concert in New York when he learned of the attack.

“I’m sorry I have a family emergency, I have to stop the show,” he said before canceling the show.

Kim and Kanye’s two children, North and Saint, were not involved in the gunpoint robbery, People confirms.

People have been joking about the robbery on social media because hello is this your first day. Supermodel Chrissy Teigen, who is a friend of Kim‘s and a person capable of empathy, took to Twitter to express her distaste for said jokes.

“Some shit just isn’t funny. I see you trying, but it isn’t,” she said. “Fame is interesting. Celebs are supposed to love you guys while also knowing you’d make a meme of our dead bodies to get retweets.”
