L.A. punks, skaters, and artists reveal their deepest insecurities on Instagram

Latest

This week, Nicole Alvarez, a DJ at Los Angeles rock station KROQ, and photographer Tamar Levine launched a social-media campaign called “We Are All Uncool.”

“Our vision is to unite in our differences— to make social media presence more genuine, realistic, and unfiltered— to be exactly who we are; to unify, to elevate, and to celebrate the things we usually hide,” they write on the campaign’s Tumblr page.

They’ve asked their listeners—as well as some famous friends whom most would think of as pretty cool—to write about what makes them feel “uncool.”

Not all of them are about anxieties — most mention a guilty pleasure or two.

But others reveal profound insecurities. Here are the best ones so far.
