Man Crush Monday: Bob Belcher from 'Bob's Burgers'

Latest

It’s rare for a man-crush to be 1) a dad, 2) a hot dad 3) a hot dad who can cook, and 4) a hot dad who can cook who happens to be a cartoon character. Today’s #MCM is Bob Belcher from Bob’s Burgers.

Wife to Linda (alriiiiiiiight) and loving patriarch to Tina, Gene, and Louise, Bob is BAE. I mean, mustachioed, dark features, deep voice, and a uniform — be still our hearts! Let’s break it down:

He loves his kids

Bob has his hands full with kids as witty, rambunctious and loud as Tina, Louise and Gene. Between Tina’s developmental disorder and penchant for fan fiction, Louise scheming to take over the world, and Gene’s utter lack of self-awareness, it would drive anyone nuts. Bob exercises incredible patience with the kids, and you can tell he’s really proud of all three. DILF for sure.

He loves Linda

Linda is a mom’s mom. She’s always cheering on her kids even when whatever they’re doing is unimpressive. She’s living her best life with a wine glass in hand, and Bob always remembers to express how lucky he is to have her as a partner.

He loves his restaurant

There was a long time when I thought no one could possibly be fulfilled by working in a restaurant. Then I fell off my high-horse and watched a bunch of reality tv shows about restaurants and realized that if you’re passionate you can pretty much love any job. Bob owns Bob’s Burgers, and he spends all of his time there. He knows his customers, he knows when he’s going to be “randomly inspected” and he always shows up. He’s always adding to the menu, and trying to take BB’s to the next level. That kind work ethic scores him major bae points.

He loves puns

Speaking of the menu, Bob is a master of naming his creations. In fact, he’s so good that a book of his iconic burger recipes is coming soon. “Don’t You For Cheddar Bout Me,” “I’ve Created a Muenster,” and “Kales from the Crypt” burgers all sound awesome, and required some major creativity in the naming department. Kudos to Bob for being cute AND funny.
