Notice anything, uh, strange about President Trump's new Twitter banner?

Latest

Well, here we are.

The peaceful transfer of power between administrations went off without a hitch and Donald J. Trump is now the 45th President of the United States. (Please feel free to look away from your screen and scream into the universe, if you must.)

Among the various Presidential privileges now at Trump’s fingertips is the official @POTUS account—sure to be a favorite of the newly minted Tweeter-in-chief. But Trump’s new Twitter is already off to an awkward start. As New York Magazine‘s Kyle Buchanan noticed, the account’s latest banner image is, well, a little familiar looking.

Let’s take a closer look…

It appears as if Trump would like you to think the flag-waving crowed was on hand at an inaugural address—and they were. Just, not his.

Yes, that picture is actually a stock photo from President Obama’s second inauguration, in 2012.

The question is: Will this be the last time President Trump will attempt to take credit for one of President Obama’s achievements?

Only time will tell.
