Roy Moore Goes on Unhinged Rant Blaming Pedophilia Allegations on an LGBTQ Conspiracy

Latest

Roy Moore accused the LGBTQ community, socialists, and liberals of inventing the long list of sexual misconduct allegations against him while speaking at from the pulpit of Magnolia Springs Baptist Church in Alabama on Wednesday night. Their mission, Moore claimed, was to change America’s culture and attack his conservative values.

“Who are they? The liberals. They don’t want conservative values. They are the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, who want to change our culture,” said Moore. “They’re socialists who want to change our way of life. Putting man above God and the government is our god. They are the Washington establishment. They want to keep everything the same so they don’t lose their position, power, and prestige.”

NBC reporter Vaughn Hillyard tweeted a video of Moore’s comments:

It’s worth noting that at least two of Moore’s accusers, Beverly Nelson and Leigh Corfman, voted for Donald Trump in the 2016 election. Both women have repeatedly asserted their decisions to come forward were entirely personal.

Throughout his speech, Moore rejected his accusers’ claims as a conspiracy spun by “Democrats pushing a liberal agenda” in an “unsuccessful” attempt to derail his campaign.

At one point a heckler interrupted Moore and yelled, “The entire town? Are all the girls lying?” He was quickly escorted out of the southern Alabama church.
