Sarah Palin is saying some truly wacko things about immigrants

Sarah Palin is never less than idiosyncratic in her interactions with the public, but rant she went on about immigrants during a speech in Wisconsin on Friday night was bizarre even for her.

Palin was speaking in support of Donald Trump, who is struggling to win the Wisconsin primary. At one point, she randomly accused some unnamed forces of luring undocumented immigrants across the American border with gift baskets.

“What the heck are you thinking, candidates? What the heck are you thinking when you’re actually asking for more immigrants — even illegal immigrants, welcoming them in,” Palin said of Trump’s opponents. “Even inducing and seducing them with gift baskets: ‘Come on over the border and here’s a gift basket of teddy bears and soccer balls.'”

Before you say, “obvious joke!” watch the video. If that’s a joke, Palin is delivering it in a very, very, very dry manner.

That’s even weirder than when Palin told immigrants to “speak American.” The audience was apparently not interested.
