Reverend William Barber, the President of the North Carolina NAACP, took to the stage at the 2016 Democratic National Convention and proceeded to electrify the crowd with his powerful rhetoric.

Barber took a torch to evangelicals on the right who use religion for morally bankrupt purposes:

He also called for Americans to consider the issues that transcend partisanship, and vote accordingly:

And he called Jesus a "Palestinian, brown-skinned Jew," which, of course, some on Twitter loved:

Eventually, he called for Hillary Clinton's election to the Presidency:
