Activists, celebrity allies and undocumented youth hit the streets of Los Angeles to demand that lawmakers pass a clean DREAM Act before the protections from DACA expire and leave hundreds of thousands of undocumented young people at risk.

“The Democrats have to understand that if they have to shut down the government in order to pass a clean DREAM Act, then you gotta do it,” actor Bradley Whitford said. “You gotta exert that power or else we don’t stand for anything.”

After March 5, roughly 1,000 DACA recipients will lose their work permits every day if Congress fails to act.
