This Is How To Call Republican Lawmakers Out On Trumpcare Lies

Latest

GOP lawmakers will try, with all their might, to justify their very unpatriotic and cruel vote this week to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, potentially leaving millions without access to vital health care services.

To be clear, there is no justification for Trumpcare, at least not for the majority of people in this country who struggle just to make ends meet. And unsurprisingly, constituents are furious. They have begun to unleash that fury in town halls across the nation, as ABC reports, where they are being subjected to an untold number of lies from Republican lawmakers, including one Idaho congressman who said, “nobody dies because they don’t have access to health care.”

In upstate New York, Rep. Tom Reed got an earful from one constituent, who is a veteran, and who flat–out refused to be lied to. It turns out that this Air Force vet—armed with the truth—is not afraid to stand up to bullies. And we shouldn’t be, either.

“I’m a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, and I have single-payer. It has saved my life four times. There is no profit in single-payer,” the woman said. “We have to get the profit. And that is why you’re here…We are not money. We are a nation.”
