This is what the iTunes store looks like this morning

Prince died unexpectedly Thursday, and music lovers everywhere are in mourning.

How do we know? Friday morning, they were swamping iTunes with downloads of his albums and songs.

Here is what the top-albums section looks like Friday morning.

And here are the top songs — only 11 of the top 50 songs are not by Prince and/or one of his bands.

Of course, the other reason why this is happening is that with one exception, Prince’s music is not available on any streaming site, including YouTube. My colleague Elmo Keep explained yesterday why this is so.
