A journalist accidentally shared a dick pic in the Thai government's official LINE chat room

The Thai government is looking into a foreign journalist who decided to post a dick pick to its custom LINE chat channel. Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently set up the LINE channel for foreign journalists in an effort to improve media relations with overseas press.

Late last evening a male journalist known only as “Jin” posted a photo of his erect penis to the channel before promptly ghosting from the chatroom. The entire ordeal was captured via screenshot by James Griffiths, an assistant editor at the South China Morning Post.

“May we remind you that this is a Line group for official purposes,” Kanyarat Vejjajiva, a Foreign Affairs Ministry official said minutes after the picture appeared in the chatroom. “Actions will be taken.”

It’s unclear if Jin meant to post the photo to the Government-linked room, but it’s worth pointing out that LINE, much like WhatsApp and Facebook Messenger, is most commonly used for non-work-related communication. The moral of the story? Don’t tweet. Don’t text. Don’t LINE.
