Americans have no idea how wealth is distributed in the United States.

Both Republicans and Democrats say they want wealth to be divided in a more equitable way. The thing is, their concept of “more equitable” is severely skewed because the actual division of wealth in the United States benefits the super-rich more than almost anybody realizes.
