Arby's has created the most disgusting-sounding pumpkin-flavored item of 2015

Latest

There’s a lot of competition in pumpkin flavored product world these days: There is of course, Starbucks’ original pumpkin-spice latte; IHOP now has pumpkin-flavored pancakes; and Oreo added pumpkin flavors to its lineup.

But this year, Arby’s takes the cake—cheesecake, to be exact.

On Wednesday, the roast beef sandwich chain introduced the Pumpkin Cheesecake Shake. According to the company’s release, the shake features “notes of pumpkin spice, pie crust, and, cheesecake.”

Behold:

As you might imagine, it’s basically a meal in itself. Here are the nutrition facts according to Brand Eating:

  • Calories: 650 (33% recommended daily value)
  • Fat: 20g (31% recommended daily value)
  • Sodium: 440mg (18% recommended daily value)
  • Carbs: 106g (35% recommended daily value)
  • Protein: 15g (30% recommended daily value)

“We’re not afraid to go toe-to-toe with the myriad of pumpkin offerings already out there, because we know we have a product that sets us apart in a crowded space that guests are going to love,” Rob Lynch, the company’s chief marketing officer, said in the release.

To be fair, Arby’s isn’t the first to come up with a pumpkin-flavored shake: Burger King actually has a Pumpkin Spice Oreo Shake. But I’m at least vaguely familiar with the idea of Oreo-infused dairy products.

Drinking cheesecake, on the other hand, is virgin territory I’m not quite prepared to step into. It’s available nationwide through the end of the year. Let us know what you think and good luck!
