American Sniper and now Aloha: Is Bradley Cooper actually in the military now? Like, did he enlist and we missed it?

Cameron Crowe's romantic comedy Aloha features Cooper, a military contractor who has "lone wolfed it all the way," trying to smooth things over with an ex-girlfriend (Rachel McAdams) while he gets things going with a new love interest (Emma Stone). Based solely on the trailer the cast looks pretty great: In addition to McAdams and Stone, Bill Murray plays Cooper's billionaire boss, Alec Baldwin is a guy who yells at him a lot,  Danny McBride is his good-natured bestie, and John Krasinski plays a smoldering mute. The plot according to Variety:

The trailer opts for the serious side of the story, in which Cooper plays a military contractor who reconnects with a long-ago love (portrayed by McAdams) while unexpectedly falling for an Air Force watchdog, played by Stone. Murray plays a billionaire launching a satellite system.

Crowe wrote and directed the film, which will be released on May 29.
