Osama bin Laden was killed in a Navy SEAL raid on his complex in Abbottabad, Pakistan. Americans were not told about the top-secret raid until hours later, so obviously the CIA was not tweeting about the event at the time.
The CIA's entire presence on Twitter account has always been a bit unusual, with Sunday's live-tweeting being no exception. Twitter users were a bit unsure how to address the tweets.
