Donald Trump is exactly right about this one thing

Latest

And now, let’s turn to a renowned political pundit for his analysis on the current disconnect with the popular vs. electoral vote. Take it away, Donald Trump circa November 2012.

That’s a strong condemnation from 2012 Trump, and he’s right. If the current results hold up, this will be the fifth time in U.S. history that a candidate has lost the popular vote but still gone on to be president, putting Trump among the ranks of John Quincy Adams, Rutherford B. Hayes, Benjamin Harrison and George W. Bush.

So far, it seems 2016 Trump has changed his tune, calling his electoral college victory “a project of national growth and renewal” in his acceptance speech.

But “disaster for a democracy” still has a nice ring to it.
