First Class Just Happens to Be the Safest Place for Scott Pruitt, OK? 

Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Scott Pruitt has to fly first class everywhere he goes because nowhere else is safe for him!!!!

“We live in a very toxic environment politically, particularly around issues of the environment,” Pruitt said in an interview with the New Hampshire Union Leader. “We’ve reached the point where there’s not much civility in the marketplace and it’s created, you know, it’s created some issues and the [security] detail, the level of protection is determined by the level of threat.” (This is fun because we also live in a very toxic environment, literally! Ha ha!)

“I’m not involved in any of those decisions,” Pruitt continued. “Those are all made by the [security] detail, the security assessment in addition to the chief of staff.”

The Washington Post reported earlier this week that Pruitt and his top aides spent at least $90,000 in public money on a single period of travel in June of 2016. “That figure does not account for the costs of Pruitt’s round-the-clock security detail, which have not been disclosed,” the Post noted.

I wonder why Pruitt and his security detail feel safest with people who can also afford to pay $1,600 for a 45 minute flight? I guess we will never ever ever know.
