Ron DeSantis, a three-term congressman who’s running to succeed Rick Scott as Florida’s governor, has already earned Donald Trump’s endorsement in the race, but that didn’t stop him from making a groveling campaign ad where he’s shown teaching his very young children about the tenets of Trumpism, like how to build a wall of blocks to keep immigrants out of their country.
Cool parenting!!!!
The ad, which was uploaded on Monday, is narrated by DeSantis’ wife, Casey, who begins by saying while “everyone knows” about the endorsement, the likely Republican nominee is “also an amazing dad.”
The video goes on to feature Desantis telling his toddler to “build the wall!” in a cutesy voice, reading The Art of the Deal and praising “you’re fired” as a catchphrase to a baby, and teaching his daughter to say “Make America great again.”
Casey DeSantis ends the ad by alluding to her husbands’ critics accusing him of being “all Trump, but he’s so much more.”
“Big league, so good,” the candidate closes out the ad, leaning over his child’s cradle.
To that I say: Here’s me (the baby, not the bad man, duh).
