Georgia pastor who said Orlando victims got 'what they deserved' arrested for child molestation

Ken Adkins, the Georgia pastor who said the Orlando shooting victims “got what they deserved,” has been arrested for child molestation.

Adkins turned himself in on Friday to the Glynn County, Georgia authorities on charges of aggravated child molestation and child molestation stemming from allegations made by a young male former member of his congregation, according to the Florida Times-Union.

According to the Times-Union, the investigation into Adkins focused on alleged incidents at his Brunswick church, home and vehicle. The alleged incidents possibly occurred around 2010 and involved a boy younger than 16.

Adkins tweeted on June 16th, shortly after Orlando shooting: “Been through so much with these Jacksonville Homosexuals that I don’t see none of them as victims. I see them as getting what they deserve!!” His Twitter account has since been made private.

Adkins is based out of Brunswick, Georgia, but he works at a consultant in Jacksonville, Florida. On June 12th, Omar Mateen opened fire at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, killing 49 people.
