President-elect Donald Trump still has nearly two months to go before taking power, but America is already feeling one particular effect of his election: A seemingly sharp uptick in incidents of racist harassment and assault across the country. There have been reports of apparently Trump-inspired sexual harassment and anti-LGBTQ attacks as well.
Here is a running—though by no means complete—list of these incidents, as they’ve been reported by various outlets. It will, unfortunately, be updated as new reports are made available.
—A swastika, the words “Sieg Heil” and reference to Trump were painted across a Philadelphia storefront.
—A swastika and the words “Make America White Again” were painted on a wall in a Wellsville, NY park.
—A Muslim woman at the University of California: San Diego was robbed by two men she claimed made references to Donald Trump.
—The words “#FuckNiggers,” #FuckAllPorchMonkeys,” and Donald Trump’s name were painted across a student of color’s locker in a Maple Grove, MN, high school.
—A woman fended off a man who allegedly attempted to grope her while shouting “Grab her by the pussy!”
—Strangers told an Indian-American Google employee it’s “time to get out of the country Apu” while he filling his car at a gas station.
—The words “fuck niggers” and “Trump” were painted on a car belonging to former University of Tennessee football player Chris Weatherd.

—Swastikas, and Trump-related graffiti were found in restrooms at Council Rock North High School in Newtown, PA.
—A group of students carrying Trump signs chanted “White Power” through the halls of the the York County School of Technology in York, PA.

—A note reading “Gay Families = Burn in Hell” and “Trump 2016” was placed on a car in North Carolina.
—Four white men allegedly threatened a black woman, asking her “how scared are you now, black bitch?” in Delaware.
—A Muslim woman was reportedly threatened by Trump supporter armed with a knife at the University of Illinois.
—Fliers citing Trump’s election as motivation to organize “tar and feather vigilante squads” were posted across the Texas State University campus.
—Latinx high school students were told “you wetbacks need to go back to Mexico” in Salt Lake City, UT.
—Trump supporters parked a pickup truck outside a house for students of African descent at Wellesley college, and jeered residents with pro-Trump slogans.
—KKK recruitment fliers reading “Get off the fence, whitey” were distributed in Birmingham, AL.
—White students at Royal Oak Middle School outside Detroit, MI, chanted “build that wall” as Latinx classmates watched and cried.
—A black doll with a noose around its neck was found in an elevator at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
—“Niggers die here” was scrawled across a bus stop in Grand Island, NY alongside drawings of nooses.
—“Trump” was written on the door to a room used by Muslim students for worship by at New York University.
—Students handed out “Deportation” letters to their classmates of color at Shasta High School in Redding, CA.
—University of Denver law professor Nancy Leong was harassed by a man shouting “build the wall” while jogging.
—A LGBTQ flag was lit on fire in Rochester, NY.
—Students at a New Jersey high school reportedly chanted “ten feet higher!” at Latinx classmates.
—A note reading “bye bye Latinos, hasta la vista” was written across a classroom whiteboard at Elon University, in Elon, NC.
—The wall of a girls restroom at Spring Lake High School in Spring Lake, MN were defaced with the words “dirty niggers go back to your home.”
—A woman speaking Assyrian on the phone while riding the BART in California’s Bay Area was called a “terrorist” by a fellow passenger, and told she would likely be deported.
—“Colored” and “whites only” signs were placed above adjoining drinking fountains at First Coast High School in Jacksonville, FL.
—Dallas, TX chef Christian Koelling was harassed by a man who yelled “get out of [my] country! We won! You lose! Now get back across the wall,” after he was overheard speaking Spanish to his grandmother.
—“Trump 2016” was spray painted over a homemade sign urging communal unity in East Haddam, CT.
—Black students at the University of Pennsylvania were reportedly added to several social media groups with names like “nigger lynching” and “mud men” against their will.
—White students chanted “build the wall” at students of color at Millard North high school in Omaha, NE.
—A minister in Iowa found a note addressed to “father homo,” which threatened to “take care of your faggity ass,” now that Trump had been elected.
—Officials at Westland Middle School in Bethesda, MD, confirmed numerous swastikas were drawn in the students’ restroom.
—Swastikas were drawn on a dorm room door at the New School in New York City.
—A transgender woman’s truck was vandalized with Trump graffiti and set on fire in Cookeville, TN.
—A Los Angeles teacher was recorded allegedly threatening her students with their parents deportation following Trump’s win.
—The words “Trump Only, White Nation” were spray painted across the Episcopal Church of Our Saviour in Silver Spring, MD.
—Pro-Trump graffiti and the words “fuck all you liberal niggers—Die” were allegedly spray painted across a wall at Reed College in Portland, OR.
—A post on the Lake Oswego, OR High School’s Class of 2017 Facebook page suggested that, as a class prank, students “create a club called Ku Klux Klub and find every black kid and sacrifice them.”
—An anonymous note left for a Muslim high school teacher in Gwinnett county, GA, explained that her headscarf “isn’t allowed anymore” and suggested she hang herself with it, instead.
—Administrators in Wesley Chapel, FL are investigating reports that a teacher told a group of black high school students “Don’t make me call Donald Trump to get you sent back to Africa.”
—The words “Heil Trump” and a swastika were painted across a church in Bean Blossom, Indiana.
—An Indian-American family’s car was defaced with the word “Trump,” scratched into its side.
—The words “Go Trump” with the ‘T’ replaced by a swastika were found in a campus bathroom at the College of William and Mary.

A teenage girl posed for a snapchat photo featuring two dead dear, suspended from a tree, and the words “if only these where [sic] some niggers” in Maple Grove, MN.
—A man in Natick, MA, received a threatening letter which cited Trump’s electoral victory and stating that the town has “zero tolerance for black people.”
—“Kill Kill Kill Blacks” was written on the bathroom wall of an elementary school in Silver Spring, MD.
—Two teachers were cited for making pro-Trump “disparaging statements” against undocumented immigrants at Cross Keys High School in DeKalb County, GA.
—”White Power” was written across the front door of a black woman’s apartment in Des Moines, IA.
—A white man told a black woman in Hamilton, Ontario that he hopes Trump “cleans up the whole of North America,” and that “you all shouldn’t even be here, you’re murderers and killers, you’re running around killing everybody, I hope he gets rid of all of you.”
—Students in a Miami-area high school were disciplined after bringing a confederate flag to school. At least one student was photographed in his school uniform, with the flag, and a Donald Trump hat.
—A man claiming “my new president says we can kill all you faggots now” attacked a gay man in Sarasota, Florida.
—A gay couple in Bay City, Michigan received a handwritten note telling them “Faggots Get Out! Trump Country!”
—Teens from Archer City, Texas taunted rivals at a predominantly Latinx school with chants of “build a wall!” during a regional volleyball competition.
—A gay couple in Clarksburg, West Virginia found a letter telling them “Trump is our president now! Get out of our neighborhood now Faggots!” left on their front door overnight.
—A church in Evansville, IN, was vandalized with racist graffiti reading “Kill All Koons.”
—A Muslim Uber driver filmed a racist tirade aimed at him by a passing motorist who screamed “Trump is president, asshole. So you can kiss your fucking visa goodbye, scumbag,” in Queens, NY.
—A Trump supporter was banned for life from all Delta airline flights after he was filmed shouting about “Hillary bitches” at fellow airplane passengers.
—Three mosques in California received letters threatening that Trump will “do to you Muslims what Hitler did to Jews.”
—A federal immigration judge was filmed telling a room full of new American citizens that Donald Trump “will be your president and if you do not like that, you need to go to another country.”
—A Tempe, AZ man launched into an angry, homophobic rant at a local church employee, explaining that Trump’s victory had given him “permission” to voice his hatred.
