Here's a Very Very Very Very Stupid Fox News Segment About 'Gingerbread Men'

Media

As gender-neutral pronouns, the war on Christmas, and the evil of political correctness threaten our nation, Fox News has maintained its position as the last bastion of hope for anyone seeking to keep the moral fabric of this great country intact. Which is why America’s greatest defender Tucker Carlson, along with Fox News contributor Tammy Bruce, took the time on Tuesday to say gingerbread men are definitely men and not gingerbread people.

Carlson and Bruce addressed a decision by a coffee shop in the Scottish Parliament building to rename its gingerbread men cookies with the inclusive, hurts-no-one term “gingerbread people.” Before bringing on Bruce, Carlson charmingly joked, “You don’t even want to know how many bathrooms there are in gingerbread houses now. A lot.”

The segment went swiftly downhill from there, with Bruce warning about the left’s horrid thought-policing, and sympathizing with the backlash to the Scottish decision. After all, she too is so tired of being shamed into making a cookies a little bit more inclusive for all people. It culminated in this wild quote (emphasis mine):

“…I content, after a series of living your entire life being kind of bullied into what you can and cannot say and presumptions that you’re bad people, that it can be the smallest thing that can tip you over edge, that’s the tipping point. And in this case its calling gingerbread men a gingerbread person, when obviously, they’re men.”

Keep in mind, Bruce had earlier said that she “couldn’t tell, obviously, because they’re also not wearing clothes, so it’s hard to say what they’re doing and what they’re not doing.” So are they “obvious” gingerbread men or not? Frankly, her ability to flip-flop on the matter, particularly when Christmas is at stake, speaks volumes.

Ahh, the name given to seasonal people-shaped cookies. Finally, a hill worth a dying on.
