Hillary Clinton, the presumptive Democratic nominee, just made history

Latest

The Associated Press reported on Monday night that Hillary Clinton has reached the number of delegates necessary to clinch the Democratic presidential nomination. She is the first woman who has ever done this. Ever.

Responding to the development at a campaign event, Clinton told supporters: “According to the news, we are on the brink of a historic, historic, unprecedented moment, but we still have work to do, don’t we? We have six elections tomorrow, and we’re gonna fight hard for every single vote especially right here in California.”

Bernie Sanders’ campaign issued a statement pledging to fight on until the convention.

Tomorrow is another day, the California and New Jersey primaries still loom, the convention may be chaotic, the general election is going to feel much longer than it will be, but you just witnessed history.
