The fourth season of House of Cards dropped on Netflix last Friday, which means binge-watching fans had plenty of quality time to spend with the Underwoods at home this weekend—home, in Frank and Claire's case, being the White House.


Replicating the Oval Office is a peculiar challenge for a set designer, in part because every American has at least a vague idea of how it really looks (it's oval, for one thing!). Throughout the years, White House-set television shows have offered their own surprisingly nuanced versions of the same famous room.
