‘I’m Free’: A Domestic Worker Who Escaped Human Trafficking Tells Her Story

In 2005, Judith Daluz thought she was coming to America for good job that would help support her family back home in the Philippines. But when she arrived in New York as a domestic worker, she alleges she was abused by her employers.

“If there’s a little bit leftover that’s how much I eat. I can’t really sleep because I am so hungry in the middle of the night,” recounts Daluz.

But she’s one of the ones who managed to break free. Here’s her story.
