I Wonder How These Children Feel About Meeting Melania Trump

First Lady Melania Trump, whose husband is currently in a Twitter fight with a military widow, and Education Secretary Betsy DeVos, who oversaw the recision of federal guidelines specifying that transgender students have a right to use the school facilities that correspond with their gender identity, were in Detroit on Monday to kick off their “week of inclusion” as part of National Bullying Prevention Month.

These children, photographed at a moment in which they are not smiling and so appear to be reflexively skeptical of the first lady’s presence, perhaps reflect your own feelings about this news.
