Is This Wedding Video Full of Celebrities Cute or Nauseating?

Joe Michalczuk is an entertainment reporter and film critic for Sky News, the British 24-hour news network founded by Rupert Murdoch. As part of his job, Michalczuk goes to press junkets, those cookie-cutter interviews with actors and directors who are promoting their soon-to-be-released movies.

(For a unique take on the press junket, check out Fusion’s own Jess Blank, whose interviews with Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield are all kinds of amazing).

It turns out that Michalzcuk has been using his allotted time with celebrities to have them record a message for Jenny, his fiancee. It’s a nice sentiment in theory, but in execution, it’s kind of … annoying? For starters, half the people look kind of put off. Secondly, it’s kind of unprofessional? I don’t know. I’m probably in the wrong, because everyone seems to love this video.

And Joe, if you’re reading this, here’s a fun fact: Half of all marriages end in divorce. So, to keep with the movie theme, may the odds be ever in your favor.
