Jeff Sessions Thinks Family Separation Is Fucking Hilarious

Immigration

Attorney general Jeff Sessions giddily announced the Trump administration’s family separation policy back in May, and then lied his ass off last week about family separation not being the Trump administration’s intent. Now, apparently, he thinks all of this is very funny.

During a speech today in Los Angeles to the Criminal Justice Foundation, Sessions cracked a joke about the families he’s splitting up at the border:

During his speech, Sessions launched into a scripted rant against the “lunatic fringe” of people, especially those on television, who have the gall to complain about the administration’s policies. “These same people live in gated communities and feature at events where you need an I.D. to even come in and here them speak,” Sessions said. “They like a little security around themselves.”

“If you try to scale the fence, believe me, they’ll be all too happy to have you arrested, and separated from your children!” Sessions said to laughter and applause. “They want borders in their lives, and not in yours.”

Jeff Sessions, Man of God, believes children wailing after they’ve been ripped away from their parents is fodder for a dumb fucking joke in front of his lawyer friends, where he couldn’t even get the timing right because he can’t keep the rhythm on anything not chanted through a hood.

While Sessions and his friends were yukking it up, over two dozen were arrested while protesting Sessions’ appearance, including clergy from the United Methodist Church. “As a United Methodist, and he’s a fellow United Methodist, this is not right, and this is not part of our Christian teachings or our values or our beliefs,” Rev. Allison Mack of the North Hollywood United Methodist Church told ABC 7.

They have the right idea, because civility sure as shit isn’t going to help Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III get some humanity.
