Kendrick channels his inner Tupac in the new 'King Kunta' video

Latest

The year of Kendrick keeps on coming with his latest music video for “King Kunta,” the second single from To Pimp a Butterfly. The video is unique, shot in a square aspect ratio, and heavily features the City of Compton, old Cadillacs, and pretty much the entire early 90s rap game aesthetic. Given the rare Tupac interview featured on Kendrick’s track “Mortal Man,” and all of these visuals, it’s safe to say the influence is there and palpable.

Kendrick definitely seems fearless and like he has nothing to lose on this latest album, and he’s taking more risks because of it. This video is art. This album is art. We can’t wait to see what he puts out next.
