According to The Hollywood Reporter, the world’s greatest inmate is about to become a lawyer. Orange is the New Black‘s Laverne Cox is set to co-star in Doubt, a show about an attorney who gets involved with one of her clients.

In a revolutionary move, Cox’s role as a “transgender Ivy League-educated attorney” on the CBS drama was created specifically for her. Cox recently made history as the first transgender actress nominated for an Emmy. Plenty of networks are finally addressing the huge lack of diversity they’ve fostered for decades, and it’s thrilling to see that in this case, it also means expanding the concept of diversity beyond race.
