Looks like the bar that maybe had an extremely racist drink is taking a little break

Latest

Yesterday, word leaked that an Athens, Ga., bar called “General Beauregard’s” (named after a Confederate general) was allegedly calling one of their drinks the “N*****ita.”

The bar denied serving such a drink yesterday, but according to a Death And Taxes tipster, the bar shut its doors Tuesday night. He took a picture of the closed bar, and wrote to Death And Taxes:

Taken at approx 9:00. It’s a student bar, not a nightclub, it is not normal for them to be closed on a week night. There’s a brightly lit Urban Outfitters across the street that is reflected in the window.

Death And Taxes also reports that the bar shut down its Twitter and Facebook accounts.

Quick reminder that a bartender at General Beauregard’s once said that taking down their Confederate flags would be “detrimental to our brand.”
