Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai has championed girls rights and education, founded a nonprofit organization, founded a school, written a memoir, and received a number of awards for her humanitarian and activist work—including the Nobel Peace Prize—and today she gets to add another item to her lengthy list of superhuman accolades: a high school diploma.
Today was Yousafzai’s last day at Edgbaston High School for Girls in Birmingham, an occasion Yousafzai marked by (among other things) debuting her new Twitter account.
The 19-year-old (19!!!) who survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban for her activism also penned a short blog reflecting on her experiences and education.
No word on which university she will be attending, although many assume she will be heading to Oxford as she previously expressed her desire to study there. But until then, she will be continuing her Girl Power Trip, meeting with girls from around the world and helping them in their fight for education and equality.
Congratulations Malala!
