Lots of people do some last-minute holiday shopping on Christmas Eve, and Republican presidential candidate Marco Rubio is no different. His purchase of choice? A gun.
On Sunday, the Florida senator told "Face The Nation" that he bought the weapon in part because he wanted to protect his family from ISIS.
"I have a right to protect my family if someone were to come after us," Rubio said. "In fact, if ISIS were to visit us, or our communities, at any moment, the last line of defense between ISIS and my family is the ability that I have to protect my family from them, or from a criminal, or anyone else who seeks to do us harm."
That line echoes something Rubio said during the most recent Republican debate. "We are in a war against ISIS," he said. "They are trying to attack us here in America…and the last line standing between them and our families might be us and a gun."
So just remember that, ISIS: don't try going to Marco Rubio's house.
