Michael Wolff Walks Out of Interview and Is Immediately Exposed as a Fraud

Latest

Michael Wolff, ostensible journalist and confirmed scumbag, appeared on Australia’s Today Show on Sunday to discuss Fire and Fury, his best-selling (if somewhat dubious) book about Donald Trump. There, Wolff eagerly weighed in on all sorts of things…until it came time to defend his recent assertion that Trump is currently cheating on his wife, Melania.

“You said during a TV interview last month that you are absolutely sure that Donald Trump is currently having an affair, while President, behind the back of the First Lady,” Today host Ben Fordham said. “I repeat, you said you were absolutely sure.”

Wolff, appearing remotely from a studio in London, appeared puzzled, and began reaching for his earpiece as Fordham pointed out that Wolff had since walked back his earlier remarks.

“Do you owe the President and the first lady an apology, Mr. Wolff?” Fordham asked, point blank.

“I… I can’t hear you,” Wolff stammered back. “I’m not hearing anything.”

Wolff then removed his earpiece, and walked off camera. Interview over.

But, it turns out, Wolff’s “technical difficulty” was not so much a breakdown of communication as it was a deliberate—and easily debunked—attempt to weasel out of admitting that he’d been full of shit in the first place. And, in an ice-cold move, Today quickly exposed Wolff as a fraud. Here, per Fordham, is what he was actually hearing in his earpiece during the interview:

Fire and Fury? More like “ya burnt.”
