Morgan Freeman loves weed and he's not afraid to tell the world.
"How do I take it? However it comes! I’ll eat it, drink it, smoke it, snort it!" he told The Daily Beast in an interview published Wednesday.
Freeman is a long-time backer of marijuana legalization; he called the prohibition on marijuana use "the stupidest law possible" in 2012. He's just one of many celebrities who have spoke out against the ban — Willie Nelson and Snoop Dogg, for instance, have entered the legal marijuana business — but he's among the most emphatic.
Speaking with The Daily Beast, he noted that alcohol, while legal, doesn't have any medicinal value. "Maybe if you have one drink it’ll quiet you down, but two or three and you’re f***ed,” he said.
Marijuana, on the other, "has many useful uses," Freeman said.
“I have fibromyalgia pain in this arm, and the only thing that offers any relief is marijuana," he said. "They’re talking about kids who have grand mal seizures, and they’ve discovered that marijuana eases that down to where these children can have a life. That right there, to me, says, ‘Legalize it across the board!’"
