Nicki Minaj gets engaged; see the ring and the IG drama.

A normal Wednesday afternoon was rocked (in more ways than one) after Nicki Minaj posted this tweet:

This, after having posted a pink wig pic to her Instagram feed the night before (look closely at that left hand):

THAT’S RIGHT, EVERYONE, NICKI MINAJ IS ENGAGED TO MEEK MILL!!!

The ring is reminiscent of Gaga’s big heart-shaped diamond engagement ring from Taylor Kinney in February:

Meek’s sisters offer congrats

Nothing but love from Meek’s sisters (though there’s no exact translation of the weeds and cringe face emoji…).

Mayweather’s girl tries to throw shade…

Floyd Mayweather is engaged to Doralie Medina (an ex-massage therapist), who took it upon herself to snapchat some shade and then post it to IG:

Apparently Doralie has a very similar ring.

But as you can see, Meek Mill was absolutely not having it, and it didn’t take long for Nicki’s fans to rush her page to drag her and her odd display of jealousy/envy.

UPDATE as of 12pm, 4/16/15: After further review, the below tweets were made by an impersonator who usurped Safaree’s available Twitter handle once he decided to delete. It was an embarrassing mixup and we apologize:

Nicki’s ex-beau has been incredibly bitter about Nicki for a while now, but he turned it up quite a few notches on his Twitter feed last night. He went on to threaten to leak her nudes, speculate about who she has and has not slept with, and generally was a complete jerk. Looks bad, Safaree.

In any case, Nicki remains above the fray and seems to be enjoying her engagement. No date has been announced for the wedding, but we’ll be watching the drama at least until Empire comes back.
