#NotMyPresident: Protesters take to the street in cities across the country in defiance of President-elect Trump

Latest

Thousands of protesters flooded major street in many of America’s largest cities on Wednesday night following Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton in the presidential elections. Bearing signs reading “Not My President,” “Love Trumps Hate,” and “Fuck Donald Trump,” among other things, the activists, students, and people affected by the election outcome flooded streets in Oakland, Chicago, New York City, Seattle, Pittsburgh, Boston, and many of America’s most important cities.

Earlier on Friday, high schools across the country experience walkouts as students rebelled against the idea of a Donald Trump presidency.

The protests even extended overseas.

Lady Gaga also contributed from a New York City garbage truck.

In Oakland, California, some protesters were injured as they rushed onto a highway to block access. Black activists have been targeting highways for protests against white bigotry as they are often used to segregate white people from people of color.
