An off-duty FBI agent was dancing up a storm at a Denver bar on Saturday night when he did a backflip, and his gun fell out. When he went to pick it up, he accidentally shot one of the other patrons, according to Denver’s 9 News. Before you judge, ask yourself: who among us has not been in this exact same situation before???
9 News reports that the shooting happened around 1 a.m. on Saturday night, and the other patron was taken to the hospital after being shot in the leg, by—again—an FBI agent who did a backflip WITH A GUN ON HIM.
According to 9 News, the man who was shot was released from the hospital and is expected to be OK. CBS’ local affiliate reported that the FBI agent, whose identity hasn’t been released yet, was reportedly questioned by Denver police before being
arrested handed off to a supervisor at the FBI. Funny how this stuff works when you’re in the FBI!
CBS also reports that authorities are waiting on the result of a blood test to determine if alcohol was a factor. An FBI spokesperson declined to comment, citing it as a “personnel matter,” but forwarded a statement from Denver police saying that incident is being investigated by the Denver police’s homicide unit and that charges will be determined by the Denver district attorney’s office.
