Photos show Paris grieving for the dead the morning after attacks

Paris woke up in a state of shock and grief on Saturday morning following the horrific attacks which struck the city on Friday night.

At least 127 people were killed in the attacks, which struck multiple restaurants, a concert hall and a stadium. Hundreds more were reported injured. In a statement, ISIS claimed responsibility for the bloodshed.

Photojournalist Maya-Anaïs Yataghène went out on the streets of Paris for Fusion on Saturday. Her images captured a city reeling from the force of a nightmare and mourning its dead.

Flowers littered the streets outside the restaurants where the attackers struck. As crowds gathered to pay their respects, sawdust could be seen mixed with the blood from the killings.

A battery of cameras was held back by police near the Bataclan concert hall, where killers shot dozens of hostages dead.

The Stade de France, the massive stadium which was rocked by multiple suicide blasts while a soccer match was being played, stood empty and silent, with some stray flowers left outside the gates.

In the wake of the attacks, France has declared a period of national mourning. It will last for three days.
