Senator Rudely Suggests That Netflix and Chilling Is 'Easy'

Chris Van Hollen, a U.S. senator from Maryland, likely wanted to highlight the fact that Democratic senators are making a last-ditch effort to save net neutrality in a light-hearted, relatable way. But instead he ended up rudely suggesting on Wednesday that “Netflix and Chill is easy.”

Excuse me, sir.

Netflix and Chilling is not easy. First, you have to find someone you want to chill with, which is hard enough in a generation filled with ironic idiots. Then you have to wipe your phone screen down multiple times because you sweat all over it and it is no longer recognizing your thumbprint, goddamnit. After you finally unlock it, you then must get over your fear of texting someone to ask them to Netflix and Chill. And then they still might say no!!!

[Whispers] someone please inform Van Hollen that Netflix and Chill is not about relaxing. Even old man Chuck Schumer gets it. (We’ve reached out to Van Hollen’s office for comment and will update this post if we hear back.)
