We’d been on Shia Watch at the Berlin Film Festival for four days searching for the plagiarizing star/performance artist. Would he even show up? Would he look like a crazy person with a half-shaved tooth? Would he plagiarize a one-liner at the press conference for Nymphomaniac before leaving the room mid-meeting? Would he wear a paper bag over his head with a quote he’s been tweeting every day for three and a half weeks on it on a red carpet? And the answer, as you’ve probably read by now, is: Yes. Of course he did.
