Sochi Day 10: USA Women's Hockey Reaches Final

Latest

Sochi is nine hours ahead of the eastern United States—12 hours ahead for the people out west—making it difficult for the average Olympic viewer to catch a lot of the events live. That’s where we come in.

Everyday we’ll be posting daily updates on what happened while you were sleeping, what’s coming up later in the day, and what’s on the docket tomorrow, as well as any relevant GIFs, tweets and interesting articles.

What You Missed:

Women’s Hockey: USA made quick work of Sweden in today’s semifinal, scoring three goals in the first 12 minutes. The end score was 6-1, but it easily could’ve been uglier. If you need evidence on how lopsided this game was, just check out this 2nd intermission graphic.

The Americans will play the winner of Canada or Switzerland (read: Canada) for the gold medal on Thursday.
