The DNC announced on Friday that it’s limiting the CNN/New York Times-hosted October round of debates to one stage and one night. So far, 12 candidates have qualified: everyone who appeared at the September debate plus Rep. Tulsi Gabbard and billionaire Tom Steyer. Might as well do a Royal Rumble.
Fourteen million people watched the third debate, which is five million more than the average of CNN’s July debates. Additionally, a CNN poll this week showed Americans are more enthusiastic about voting right now than at any point since 2003. The people love our never-ending campaigns.
